Hyundai Brand Has the Most Combined IIHS Top Safety Pick and Top Safety Pick+ Awarded Vehicles in the U.S.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) - an independent, nonprofit scientific and educational organization dedicated to reducing losses from motor vehicle crashes - evaluates current model year automobile safety features and recognizes the top peformers as a TOP SAFETY PICK or TOP SAFETY PICK+. IIHS recently named the 2021 Hyundai Palisade a TOP SAFETY PICK+, giving Hyundai a combined total of 11 TOP SAFETY PICKS currently for sale in the U.S. - the most of any auto manufacturer.

With the release of the 2021 Palisade full-size SUV, Hyundai added LED headlamps to the list of standard equipment on all Palisades, designating the new model as a TOP SAFETY PICK+. The 2020 Palisade previously achieved TOP SAFETY PICK recognition and is counted as a separate award winner. In fact, every Hyundai SUV carries the TSP honor when equipped with optional front crash prevention and specific headlights that IIHS deem a superior safety feature.
